Isla Mujeres is a small peaceful tropical island just across the bay from livelier, brasher Cancun. The island is only five miles long and still retains a typical Mexican flavor and charm.  Surrounded by the finest white coral sands and with excellent diving and snorkeling the island is friendly, safe and scenic.

There are few all inclusive resorts on the island and most visitors come seeking an individually styled vacation away from the hustle and bustle of high rise resorts and rampant commercialism. Isla is a laid back island of palapa beach bars, glorious sunsets and turquoise hued seas.

Casa de Mariposas is one of few villas on the quiet South end of Isla Mujérés that is available to rent as a private home. (it is not a condo unit).  It will be all yours to enjoy in complete privacy with the people you choose to be with.

So, throw away your wristwatch, pull up a lounger at your choice of many coral white sand beaches, enjoy a Margarita or two, fall silent to watch the sunset over the Bay of Mujeres, catch a taxi for a fine dinner at Villa Rolandi and then return to your villa, take a dip in the pool , and relax on the rooftop watching the stars turn overhead while listening to the waves roll against the Caribbean shore.
