Once you have settled into Casa de Mariposas you will find transport is readily available.

Taxis pass by frequently wending their way between downtown and Garrafon Park. They normally slam the brakes on if you give them a wave.

Transport of choice on Isla is the golfcart. They're great fun and readily available to rent from plenty of outlets downtown. They seat four comfortably and there are now giant carts with a long wheel base and flat bed area for carrying luggage etc.
Expect to pay about $55-60 per day for a golf cart but you can negotiate if you want one for longer. We would recommend you hire a golf cart at least one day of your stay to reach those out of the way places and discover the island properly.

Mopeds are also available to rent on the island, they are somewhat cheaper than the golf carts but driving one around can be a rather hair-raising experience unless you are Isla born and bred in which case you can fit yourself, your wife, two children and a dog on one happily!

Also popular to rent are mountain bikes for those who are adapted to the heat and these are a nice, Eco friendly way to take in the local scenery.
