Getting to Isla Mujeres is easy. In fact you will probably be on the island enjoying your first cocktail before your fellow tourists have left Cancun airport in their coaches!

Cancun airport is well served by both Charter and Scheduled airlines from the USA and Europe.

From Cancun it is a short transfer to Grand Puerto Cancun where you catch a high speed ferry to Isla Mujeres (currently 60 pesos per person).

Grand Puerto Cancun is a modern facility with money exchange services and a supermarket.
There are plenty of helpful porters to assist you and the ferry's run every half hour.

The Ferry's are high speed catamarans and you can ride on the top deck as well as inside. Inside is air-conditioned and tv's show the area's attractions but from the top deck you can enjoy a fabulous view of Cancun, the approaching Isla Mujérés and the glorious coloured waters of the Bay of Mujeres.

Further assistance with your luggage is available once you dock at Isla Mujeres. From here you take a taxi to Casa de Mariposas. Current cost is approx 61 pesos.
